Adam Levine’s Real Estate Portfolio: A Timeline

Adam Levine is a man of many talents—and, as it turns out, a man of many homes. The Maroon 5 crooner has bought and sold his fair share of properties over the years, with the majority of them situated on the sunny West Coast in his native Los Angeles. (The one exception was a loft in New York’s trendy SoHo neighborhood, which he sold in 2016.) Interestingly enough, a number of his homes have linked him to other celebrities, including Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, John Mayer, and Ellen DeGeneres. 

Since the singer stepped back from his role on The Voice in 2019 after 16 seasons, he’s been spending more time at home, a fact that, of course, makes his living environment all the more important. “Now I’m just a stay-at-home dad,” he told DeGeneres during a recent interview, adding that he’s “obsessed” with his two young daughters. “I just stay home and do very little. It’s great.” This makes it all the more exciting that he just dropped $22.7 million for a mansion in Montecito, California. Today, along with that sprawling estate, he owns a Pacific Palisades compound he bought from Garner in 2019 for $32 million. Below, we look back at all seven of Levine’s known homes over the years—and there’s ample proof that he has good taste when it comes to houses.

2005

Before he married Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo in 2014, Levine was a bachelor who had a sleek midcentury modern pad that matched his laid-back lifestyle. He bought the four-bedroom 1940s dwelling for $3.195 million in 2005, and by the time he sold it in 2013 for $3.55 million, it was a stylish rambler with two fireplaces, a home theater, an exercise room, and walls of glass overlooking the city. “I fell in love with the location and the privacy, and the fact that it was such a low-key place,” Levine told Architectural Digest of the home in 2012. “It was Hollywood without being ‘Hollywood.’”

2012

Levine’s second home turned out to be a hit with a fellow musician. Measuring a whopping 7,100 square feet, the ranch-style mansion featured five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, with a home theater, gym, spa, and a two-car garage with a speakeasy-style card room built above it. He bought it for $4.83 million in 2012, and after adding his own personal flair to its interiors, he sold it to counterpart crooner John Mayer for $13.4 million in 2018.
